Our mission at Higher Ground Land Surveying, LLC is to provide quality professional land surveying services to the North Georgia region; to be a reliable partner to our clients; to hold ourselves to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

About us:

Higher Ground Land Surveying, LLC is owned and operated by Brad Cash, LS, a registered land surveyor in the state of Georgia since 2000 (Georgia registration number LS 2840). Brad obtained his education in surveying at Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, Georgia. Brad's 17 years of professional experience was gained with a well known surveying and engineering design firm in Roswell, Georgia where he was instrumental in the completion of projects for many of Georgia’s most prestigious residential, commercial and industrial development companies. These companies relied on Brad to provide them with professional services and quality survey documents.  Higher Ground Land Surveying, LLC was conceived in order to provide a higher level of service and satisfaction for his clients. Brad takes pride in his ability to listen to and understand the needs of his clients. Furthermore, he takes the time to make sure his clients understand the service he provides. A keen understanding of the legal aspects of land surveying and development regulations has proved to be a valuable asset to Brad’s many satisfied clients.

Survey Equipment:

We utilize the most modern survey equipment and software. For traditional property surveys we utilize Leica Total Stations.   All of our survey products can be delivered in AutoCAD (.dwg) or Adobe (.pdf) format, as well as hard copies on paper or Mylar film plotted on quality Hewlett-Packard (HP)  large - format plotters.

  • We utilize Topcon Levels for elevation surveys
  • Trible GPS equipment is used for large scale control surveys
  • Data collection is managed with Tripod Data Systems (TDS) data collectors
  • We utilize AutoCAD and Carlson Survey software

Affiliations / Certifications:

Higher Ground Land Surveying, LLC understands that the success of certain projects is dependant on the relationships maintained throughout the industry. Brad is a member of the American Congress on Surveying and mapping (ACSM). This organization ensures that its members stay abreast of the many legal, economic and technological changes in the surveying and mapping industry. In addition, Brad also maintains relationships with reputable attorneys, engineers, aerial mapping and environmental professionals.  Brad also holds a “Level 1A Certification” from the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission (certification number 0000056636). This certification is required to oversee all grading and excavation projects in the state of Georgia.
